On this project I was able to access a vinyl cutting printer and new immediately I had to do something for my car. Working on a large scale, and with the context of placement in mind, I wanted to keep my graphic relatively minimal.
The major complications here came with utilizing Illustrators pathfinder tool to ensure the printer would make the right cuts as it reads strokes without weight which can really distort an image if not properly prepared.
However after a few tweaks I had my graphic ready and i sent it off to be printed. The process of application was relatively simple, consisting of multiple transfers until I finally cleaned my window and applied it to my car.
Lastly I asked kwali if he would be down to model for a little a comparison photo, both of us were happy to have his signature window spot immortalized in vinyl.
